Position Summary

The Civil Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and directing all field operations on civil construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position serves as a critical link between project management, field crews, subcontractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise all on-site civil construction activities, including grading, excavation, underground utilities, drainage systems, concrete work, paving, and site development. Coordinate and manage field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries to maximize productivity and efficiency. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, architects, inspectors, and clients to ensure project success. Develop and maintain construction schedules while proactively addressing challenges and delays. Manage material procurement and inventory to support project timelines. Coordinate required permits, inspections, and regulatory compliance. Champion a culture of safety by enforcing OSHA standards and company safety policies. Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Monitor project progress and prepare accurate daily reports, production tracking, and schedule updates. Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining quality workmanship and client satisfaction. Qualifications

5+ years of experience supervising civil construction projects. Hands-on experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, and related machinery. Strong background in sitework, grading, underground utilities, concrete, and infrastructure projects. Ability to read, interpret, and execute construction plans, specifications, and technical documents. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Valid driver's license required.
