Job Summary

The Mechanic, Lead Technician provides technical leadership and hands-on maintenance support for civil engineering and support equipment to ensure readiness and mission support.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and hands-on support for inspection, maintenance, repair, calibration, and sustainment of assigned equipment.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maintain Ready-For-Issue (RFI) equipment status.

Diagnose complex mechanical and systems-level malfunctions and implement corrective actions.

Oversee maintenance activities, work priorities, and schedules for assigned technicians.

Ensure maintenance actions and inspections are accurately documented in required systems.

Conduct operational inspections, testing, preservation, and load testing of equipment.

Prepare equipment and assets for deployment, shipment, storage, or disposition.

Ensure safe operation of non-tactical vehicles and material handling equipment.

Maintain accountability for tools, equipment, and bench stock.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and occupational health requirements.

Coordinate with Government personnel and functional leads to support readiness.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanical or equipment technician.

Specialized Experience: Demonstrated lead technician or supervisory experience and advanced mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Certifications: Valid U.S. driver's license.
