Account Manager

Insight Global • Bernardsville, NJ • 3h ago

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a driven, relationship-oriented Account Manager to help grow new business and develop customer relationships across its specialty manufacturing markets. This fifth-generation, family-owned textile manufacturer producing specialty narrow fabrics for applications across industries including military, firefighter/protective equipment, racing, retail, and sportswear.

This position is designed for a true salesperson who is comfortable actively pursuing opportunities rather than simply managing inbound business. The Account Manager will prospect for new customers, work existing and company-generated leads, understand customer applications and requirements, and connect those needs with the product capabilities.

The ideal candidate will be confident, personable, a strong listener, and consistent with follow-up. Success is less about already knowing the highly specialized textile industry and more about having genuine sales ability, a strong work ethic, curiosity about the product, and the ability to learn technical applications and communicate effectively with customers.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience in an aligned sales, account management, business development, or outside sales role.

Proven sales, prospecting, and new business development experience.

Strong communication and active-listening skills.

Confidence interacting directly with prospective and existing customers.

Ability to identify customer needs and connect those needs with relevant product solutions.

Strong follow-up skills with the ability to consistently pursue opportunities.

Ability and willingness to learn technical products, specifications, applications, and customer requirements.

Strong work ethic with the ability to take direction and implement feedback effectively.

Genuine hunter mentality and motivation to develop new business.

Comfortable working within a close-knit, family-owned company environment.

Direct textile or narrow-fabric manufacturing experience is not required.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or the recruiting process, please send a request to HR@insightglobal.com.
