Host / Hostess

Boqueria Restaurant • New York, NY • 2h ago

Our current wage range is $20.00 to $30.00 per hour

Be the first hello, 21 floors up.

Castell sits on top of the AC Hotel New York Times Square. It's a classic cocktail lounge rebuilt for now: martinis done right, cocktails that are part throwback and part invention, a fireplace lounge, a granite bar and an open-air terrace that looks out over Midtown. We're polished but never stuffy, and we're looking for a host who makes every guest feel welcome from the moment they arrive.

This role is for you if:

You love hospitality and making people happy.

You're great at first impressions and warmly welcoming others.

You stay calm and organized when the room is full and the list is long.

You're a team player: you have your team's back, and they have yours.

You keep your sense of humor on a full Saturday night.

What you'll do:

Welcome every guest: greet guests warmly in person and on the phone, and answer their questions.

Manage the room: handle seating and wait times so the night runs smoothly.

Take care of waiting guests: keep them comfortable, informed and looked after.

Build the culture: be part of, and add to, a positive team.

What you bring:

A friendly, inviting presence in person and over the phone.

The ability to manage guest seating and wait times.

You learn quickly and stay flexible.

You must be at least 18 years old.

What we offer:

Pay: competitive hourly pay. Paid weekly.

Benefits: medical, dental, vision, commuter and supplemental coverage.

Time and perks: paid time off, discounted meals and flexible scheduling, with full-time and part-time availability.

Growth: a path to grow with Boqueria Restaurant Group, an upscale restaurant group.

Culture: a team with high standards that takes care of each other.

About Castell

Castell Rooftop Lounge is part of Boqueria Restaurant Group. It brings back the spirit of the classic New York cocktail lounge, with extra focus on the martini. The cocktail list is built on classic drinks with a modern twist. Alongside it we serve craft beer, wine, non-alcoholic spirits and shareable plates, with some of the best views in Midtown.

Ready to welcome our guests? Apply today.
