Saint-Gobain is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the Quality function at our Akron, Ohio manufacturing facility. This highly visible leadership role combines quality expertise with strong business judgment, customer focus, and the ability to develop and motivate others.
The Akron facility is a complex, multi-product operation supporting Industrial & Consumer Solutions, Bioprocess Solutions, and Medical markets. As Quality Manager, you will shape the site's quality strategy, lead and develop the Quality team, strengthen our quality culture, and partner across the organization to ensure products and processes meet customer, regulatory, and company expectations.
This role goes beyond compliance. You will influence operational decisions, improve systems and processes, build organizational capability, and help the site continuously raise the bar.
What You Will Do
Lead the Quality Management System
Serve as the site's Quality Management Representative and lead the effectiveness and continuous improvement of the QMS in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and applicable requirements.
Provide oversight for document control, change management, CAPA, complaints, deviations, nonconformances, supplier quality, and quality-control testing.
Apply Quality Risk Management principles to product, manufacturing, and business decisions.
Lead Management Review and communicate QMS performance, risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
Maintain ISO certification and coordinate internal, external, customer, regulatory, and supply-chain audits.
Support product stewardship, compliance, and applicable requirements across the Industrial, Bioprocess, and Medical businesses.
Develop a High-Performing Team
Lead, coach, and develop Quality professionals supporting the plant.
Set clear expectations, provide meaningful feedback, manage performance, and create development opportunities.
Build quality ownership and strong partnerships across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, R&D, EHS, Commercial, and other functions.
Lead Quality and Process Control improvement initiatives.
Partner With Customers and the Business
Serve as a trusted Quality partner to customers, plant leadership, suppliers, and corporate Quality teams.
Host customer audits, ensure effective responses to findings, and review Quality Agreements.
Lead cross-functional resolution of customer concerns and quality issues.
Translate technical and regulatory requirements into practical solutions that protect customers and support the business.
Drive Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement
Provide Quality review of batch documentation and testing and determine disposition of production batches and incoming materials.
Ensure deviations and nonconformances receive effective investigation, root-cause analysis, and sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
Use data, risk assessment, and sound judgment to guide decisions affecting compliance, cost, customer satisfaction, and business continuity.
Champion continuous improvement and a culture focused on speaking up, learning, prevention, and accountability.
Champion Safety and Compliance
Support site EHS programs and ensure Quality practices align with established requirements.
Promote data integrity, product safety, responsible decision-making, and safe work practices.
Serve as backup to the Product Compliance Officer.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Quality, or another technical field. Other bachelor's degree programs may be considered when supported by appropriate mathematics and science coursework.
At least seven years of experience in a regulated industry.
At least five years of experience in Quality Management, Quality Engineering, or another Quality function.
At least three years of supervisory or people-leadership experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of quality systems, root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive action, problem-solving methodologies, and continuous-improvement techniques.
Experience interpreting and implementing applicable regulatory, customer, or quality-system requirements within a manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to coach, engage, influence, motivate, and hold a team accountable.
Ability to adjust communication style based on the audience and effectively communicate with employees, senior leaders, customers, auditors, suppliers, and technical professionals.
Strong project-management, organizational, documentation, and decision-making skills.

Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees' wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $102,000 to $158,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.-
-In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $115,000 to $178,540 . Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
