Bechtel Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) is an exciting and growing business that serves the increasing demand of EPC services for customers in the semiconductor (manufacturing facilities and supply chain); electric vehicle (batteries, charging infrastructure, and production); synthetic materials; and data center markets.

Job Summary:
The Electrical Construction Coordinator serves as the functional point of contact for electrical construction execution across M&T projects. This role combines advanced technical expertise in electrical systems with construction coordination and execution leadership. The position provides technical guidance, construction planning support, workface coordination, constructability input, and troubleshooting assistance to project teams while promoting standardized work processes, lessons learned, and construction best practices.
Major Responsibilities:
Serve as the recognized technical authority for electrical construction execution within the organization.
Provide expert consultation to project teams regarding installation methods, specifications, codes, standards, and industry best practices.
Support resolution of complex technical issues involving power distribution systems, raceways, grounding systems, equipment installation, cable systems, switchgear, substations, MCCs, UPS systems, and electrical testing.
Participate in constructability reviews, risk assessments, lessons learned evaluations, and work process improvement initiatives.
Support development and maintenance of electrical construction procedures, standards, and execution strategies.
Mentor field engineers, construction coordinators, superintendents, and electrical supervisors.
Participate in peer reviews, readiness assessments, and project health checks.
Support development of corporate electrical construction best practices and training materials.
Evaluate emerging technologies, digital construction tools, and innovative execution methods.
Support workface planning, Advanced Work Packaging (AWP), material readiness reviews, and constraint management.
Coordinate resolution of field technical inquiries, design clarifications, and construction deviations.
Support turnover planning and systems completion activities.
Major Responsibilities (Cont.):
Assist with development and implementation of electrical execution strategies from early works through commissioning.
Champion safe work practices and compliance with company and customer safety requirements.
Support electrical quality surveillance and verification activities.
Assist in development and execution of testing, pre-commissioning, energization, and turnover plans.
Verify compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, construction specifications, and customer requirements.
Provide functional leadership and technical direction to project electrical teams.
Facilitate knowledge transfer between projects and business units.
Support development of electrical construction talent pipelines and succession planning.
Promote consistency in electrical construction execution across projects.
Serve as a key advisor to the Manager of Construction on electrical execution matters.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Equivalent electrical construction experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
8-10 years of electrical construction experience on large industrial, infrastructure, energy, semiconductor, mining, manufacturing, or EPC projects.
Demonstrated experience in field engineering, electrical construction supervision, commissioning support, or construction management.
Experience managing electrical subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary construction activities.
Proven ability to resolve complex electrical construction issues in active project environments.
Experience supporting turnover, energization, and startup activities.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Medium and low-voltage power distribution systems.
Substations and switchyards.
Switchgear and MCC installation.
Motor and equipment power systems.
Cable tray and conduit systems.
Grounding and lightning protection systems.
Electrical testing and commissioning.
Electrical construction codes and standards.
NEC, NFPA, IEEE, NETA, and applicable industry requirements.
Construction planning and scheduling processes.
System completion and turnover management.
