Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join a team on a long-term contract basis. This position is ideal for an accounting specialist who enjoys owning core bookkeeping activities, investigating account activity, and keeping financial records accurate and up to date. The role will contribute across close activities, reconciliations, receivables support, and overall general accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

Lead monthly closing work by preparing journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and helping ensure records are finalized accurately and on schedule.

Reconcile multiple bank and credit card accounts, review discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items through careful research.

Examine balance sheet and income statement activity, investigate unusual fluctuations, and correct accounting issues when needed.

Maintain supporting schedules for prepaid expenses, depreciation, amortization, and suspense accounts to keep documentation current and organized.

Monitor accounts receivable aging, post incoming customer payments, and follow up on items requiring clarification or cleanup.

Investigate chargebacks, deductions, credits, and promotional claims related to key retail channels, partnering with internal teams when issue resolution is needed.

Process a high volume of invoices and payment support documents with strong accuracy and attention to detail.

Record the monthly payroll-related journal entry using information from Rippling and assist with year-end closing activities in December. Requirements - Hands-on experience in full charge bookkeeping or a closely related accounting role.

Proficiency with QuickBooks and confidence working within general ledger-driven accounting processes.

Practical knowledge of month-end close procedures, journal entries, and account reconciliation work.

Experience supporting accounts receivable functions, including payment application and aging review.

Strong ability to analyze financial activity, research discrepancies, and explain account movements clearly.

Familiarity with bank and credit card reconciliations in a multi-account environment.

High level of accuracy, organization, and follow-through when managing detailed transactional workloads.
