Description We are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to lead vehicle and equipment operations in Sanford, Florida. This role is responsible for keeping the fleet reliable, compliant, and cost-effective while supporting day-to-day business needs. The ideal candidate brings strong operational judgment, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to turn performance data into practical improvements.

Responsibilities:

Direct daily fleet activities for company-owned and leased vehicles and equipment to ensure dependable service and operational readiness.

Establish and refine fleet procedures, standards, and workflows that improve efficiency, consistency, and cost control.

Oversee vehicle life-cycle planning, including acquisitions, assignments, renewals, disposals, registrations, and title documentation.

Maintain complete fleet records covering inspections, repair history, licensing, utilization, and operating expenses.

Lead preventive maintenance efforts and coordinate repair scheduling with vendors and internal teams to reduce downtime and extend asset life.

Monitor vehicle condition, fuel usage, maintenance spending, and telematics data to identify trends and recommend performance improvements.

Ensure adherence to transportation laws, licensing rules, insurance requirements, and applicable safety and environmental standards.

Manage vendor partnerships with service providers, fuel suppliers, leasing partners, and equipment vendors, including pricing and contract discussions.

Prepare budgets, forecasts, and operational reports for leadership, using KPI analysis to guide decisions on utilization, cost, and fleet performance. Requirements - 5+ years of experience in fleet management, transportation, logistics, equipment management, or a closely related field.

Strong understanding of transportation compliance obligations, fleet safety practices, and regulatory requirements.

Experience overseeing maintenance programs, vendor performance, and fleet-related budgeting.

Proficiency with fleet management platforms, telematics tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to analyze operating data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Clear communication and leadership capabilities, with experience working across operational teams and external partners.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field preferred.
