A stable and well-established organization in Pueblo is seeking a Payroll Accountant to join its accounting team. Position Overview

This role will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for approximately 450 employees while also providing accounting support related to cash management, deposits, billing, and general accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 450 employees using Paycom.

Review and verify employee timecards for accuracy and completeness.

Prepare and upload payroll-related journal entries.

Monitor bank accounts and assist with cash management activities.

Process deposits and post checks and cash receipts.

Support billing activities and account maintenance.

Assist with general accounting and administrative duties as needed.

Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies and payroll regulations.

Work Environment

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Onsite position in Pueblo, Colorado

Eligible for one remote workday per week after training

Up to $60,000 DOE

Requirements

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience.

Experience processing multi-employee payroll.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize responsibilities effectively.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience with cash posting, deposits, reconciliations, or other accounting functions is preferred.

Paycom experience is highly preferred but not required.
