Traveling Construction Laborer

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule: Typically 50-65 hours per week (40 hours minimum during winter months)

Travel: 50%+ travel throughout the Western United States

About the Opportunity

Join a well-established foundation and heavy construction contractor specializing in caisson installation, foundations, slabs, and structural concrete work. Projects typically range from one week to one month in duration, with some travel assignments lasting up to two months.

Responsibilities

Lift and move forms, steel beams, rings, lumber, and other construction materials.

Assist with the construction and reinforcement of steel cages used in caisson, pier, pad, and flatwork projects.

Support concrete placement, pouring, patching, and finishing activities.

Strip forms and perform site cleanup upon project completion.

Assist crews with general labor duties while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience in one or more of the following:

Construction labor

Concrete work

Demolition

Landscaping

Dirt work

Farm or agricultural labor

Ability to lift and carry heavy materials throughout 10+ hour workdays.

Comfortable working in extreme heat, cold, and other outdoor conditions.

Reliable transportation to and from work.

Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred, but not required.

Travel Requirements

Must be able to travel extensively throughout the Western U.S.

Must have a flexible schedule and be comfortable remaining on travel assignments for up to four months at a time without returning home.

Travel availability is a key requirement for this position.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
