As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Richmond, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Mon06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

Tue10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

Wed06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

Thur10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government office areas, public spaces, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.

Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and assist with visitor screening and entry procedures in accordance with site policies.

Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services.

Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

An armed guard card or license is required.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
