TEKsystems is is looking for a customer-focused sales support professional who can manage business accounts, prepare and follow up on quotes, support orders, resolve customer issues, and help grow sales while working closely with purchasing, operations, quality, and finance teams. The client is within the aerospace industry!
What You'll Be Doing
Respond to customer quote requests (RFQs) by reviewing what the customer needs and working internally to determine product availability, pricing, and lead times.
Prepare and send quotes to customers based on information provided by the purchasing/procurement team.
Follow up with customers by phone, email, video meetings, and occasionally in person regarding outstanding quotes, orders, and opportunities.
Build strong relationships with assigned customers and become a reliable point of contact for questions about products, orders, pricing, and contracts.
Support customers throughout the entire order process, from the initial quote through delivery.
Explain product information and technical specifications to customers in a clear and professional way.
Handle customer problems or complaints and coordinate with departments such as Operations, Quality, Finance, and Management to get issues resolved.
Keep track of sales activity and performance goals, including sales, margins, bookings, open orders, and on-time delivery.
Use systems such as SAP, Salesforce, Excel, and business intelligence/reporting tools to manage customer information, orders, quotes, and performance.
Look for opportunities to grow business with existing customers while ensuring they continue to receive excellent service.
What They're Looking For
A strong candidate would ideally have:
Experience in customer service, sales support, inside sales, account management, or order management
Strong communication skills and confidence communicating with customers by phone and email
The ability to manage multiple customers, quotes, orders, and priorities at the same time
Strong attention to detail, especially when working with pricing, product numbers, specifications, and customer orders
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to coordinate with different departments
Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
Experience with SAP and/or Salesforce is highly valuable
Comfort working with reports, sales targets, and KPIs
Experience in distribution, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, industrial products, or another technical environment would be helpful
Familiarity with quality processes or Quality Management Systems is a plus

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethpage, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
