Summary Employee will serve as a Secretary (Office Automation) within Chaplain Service located at the William S. Middleton Memorial VA Medical Center, Madison, WI. Responsibilities THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION Duties will include, but may not be limited to the following: Provides administrative support in the day-to-day operations, applying a journeyman knowledge of clerical procedures, solid office skills, and utilizing automated office tools such as Microsoft MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook to prepare correspondence, reports, follow-up on commitments made at meetings and conferences, and locating/summarizing information from files and documents. Facilitates the performance of the Chief Chaplain's work by relaying information and requests to officials and serves as liaison between internal/external Chaplain Services and other offices. Serves as primary timekeeper. Processes and maintains attendance and leave records for staff; provides assistance on pay and leave matters. Maintains stock levels and purchasing office supplies using organizational purchase card. Maintains the budget and Fund Control Points accounts, recording accounting data of funds and obligations, and performs reconciliation to bring accounts into balance. Compiles and prepares budget, program, and statistical reports. Perform other duties, as necessary.
