Our client, in consumer goods industry is seeking a Part-Time Administrative Assistant to join their team. In this role you will be part of the Lab Department supporting scientist and lab staff. The ideal candidate will have previous administrative experience and office management skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: (Part-Time) Administrative Assistant

Location: Montvale, NJ (onsite)

Contract: 9 Months (extension possible)

Hours: 20 hours week/flexible on schedule with M-F business hours

Pay Range: $20 - $25 hourly

What's the Job?

Provide day-to-day administrative support and office management to R&D directors and scientists, streamlining processes so teams can focus on research work.

Manage vendor setup, create purchase orders (POs), and support goods receipt (GR) processing.

Coordinate ordering of lab supplies, chemicals, materials, and outbound sample shipments.

Handle calendar management, scheduling, expense reporting, and general documentation.

Support logistics for meetings and events while maintaining organized administrative records.

What's Needed?

Associate's degree preferred, but not required - Equivalent administrative experience will also be considered

Prior experience in administrative, office management support, or coordinator roles with ability to handle multiple small operational tasks with minimal supervision

Strong organizational and multitasking skills, experience managing calendars, scheduling, and administrative workflows

Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office tools

Experience creating or managing purchase orders

Helpful nut not required: Exposure to SAP or other ERP systems
