Our client in Enfield, Connecticut is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk for a contract opportunity. This role is ideal for an organized professional with strong data entry skills and a solid understanding of payroll processes. The Payroll Clerk will support the payroll function by helping ensure accurate and timely processing, recordkeeping, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

Assist with processing payroll for employees in a timely and accurate manner

Review timesheets, wage calculations, and payroll data for completeness

Enter and update employee payroll information in the system

Support payroll record maintenance and filing

Respond to payroll-related questions from employees and internal staff

Assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting

Help ensure compliance with company policies and payroll procedures

Support additional administrative and accounting tasks as needed

Requirements

1+ years of payroll, accounting, or related administrative experience preferred

Basic understanding of payroll processes and recordkeeping

Strong data entry and organizational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to handle confidential information professionally

Strong communication and problem-solving skills
