Job Title: Industrial Forklift Operator
Job Description
This role involves safely and efficiently moving materials around a construction and data center jobsite using both manual methods and powered material handling equipment. The forklift operator ensures that materials are delivered to the correct locations on time, supports ongoing construction activities, and follows all safety standards and site procedures.
Responsibilities
Operate material handling equipment, including Lull forklifts and standard forklifts, to move materials safely and efficiently around the jobsite.
Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials by hand when necessary to support construction activities.
Use a telehandler to lift, move, and place materials at various heights and locations as required by the site team.
Support the operation of a flatbed truck, when needed, to transport materials to and from designated areas on the jobsite.
Inspect material handling equipment before use and report any issues, defects, or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Follow all OSHA, site safety, and equipment operation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Coordinate with site supervisors and crew members to ensure materials are staged and delivered to the correct locations in a timely manner.
Maintain clean and organized work areas, including material storage zones and equipment parking areas.
Adhere to all site access rules, including traffic patterns, restricted zones, and equipment operation protocols.
Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience operating material handling equipment in a construction or similar environment.
Proven experience operating a Lull forklift, with Lull forklift experience required.
Ability to operate standard forklifts safely and efficiently.
Experience using telehandlers for lifting and placing materials.
Current OSHA 10 certification.
Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and OSHA regulations.
Ability to handle materials manually when needed, including lifting, carrying, and positioning materials safely.
Capability to follow directions, communicate clearly with site personnel, and work effectively as part of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working on construction sites or data center projects.
Previous experience assisting with or operating flatbed trucks to move materials.
Familiarity with a variety of material handling equipment and attachments.
Ability to adapt to changing jobsite conditions and priorities.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safe work practices.

Work Environment
The position is based on an active construction site and data center environment, where you will work primarily outdoors and in partially enclosed structures. You will operate Lull forklifts, standard forklifts, telehandlers, and potentially assist with flatbed truck operations. The workday follows typical construction hours, which may include early starts and occasional extended hours depending on project needs. The environment includes uneven surfaces, varying weather conditions, noise from construction activities, and frequent interaction with other trades and equipment. Appropriate work attire such as durable work clothing, safety boots, and required personal protective equipment (including hard hat, safety glasses, and high-visibility vest) is expected at all times, in line with site safety policies.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Monroe, LA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
