The Talent Management and Development Intern will work across talent teams on projects that strengthen how Newell drives performance, supports career growth and development, listens to employees, and delivers learning experiences. Based on business priorities, the intern may contribute to research and analysis, learning content, employee and HR communications, talent-related knowledge managment or SharePoint sites, process improvement, and project coordination. The role is designed to provide exposure to multiple areas of talent while allowing the intern to lead a defined project or workstream with guidance from team leaders.
Core responsibilities
Contribute to Talent Management and Talent Development projects aligned with current business and team priorities.
Conduct research and analyze qualitative or quantitative information to identify insights and support recommendations.
Create, edit, or organize learning materials, presentations, communications, and other resources for employee and HR audiences.
Support the planning and execution of talent programs and processes by coordinating activities, tracking milestones, and flagging potential issues.
Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across HR and the broader organization to gather input and move work forward.
Identify opportunities to improve team processes, documentation, tools, or the employee experience.
Use available technology and systems to organize information, support learning, and communicate project progress.
Lead a defined summer project or workstream with measurable outcomes and present findings or recommendations to HR leaders.
Handle employee and organizational information with confidentiality and sound judgment.
Potential project areas
Depending on final 2027 priorities, project areas will likely include learning-content development, employee listening, performance management, talent reviews, onboarding, employee experience, communications, or talent-process improvement.
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Behavior, Learning and Development, Instructional Design, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to organize work, manage deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
Comfort working collaboratively, seeking feedback, and navigating evolving priorities.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Preferred
Coursework or experience related to talent management, learning and development, instructional design, data analysis, communications, or project coordination.
Exposure to eLearning authoring tools, learning platforms, HR systems, or data-visualization tools.

Each intern will have a CAMP project that they lead from start to finish - at the end of the intern experience, they will present the project deliverable to a leadership panel. The output of each project will be utilized by the business team moving forward after the conclusion of the internship.
Additional Qualifications
Completed Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year in undergraduate studies pertaining to internship job function
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Internship or work experience preferred
