Shipping/Receiving Worker - Warehouse Specialist I
Location: Livonia, MI
Shift: Mon-Fri 9:30am-6pm (Some OT including 10 hour shift/ and Saturdays possible. Notice is provided ahead of time.)

Responsibilities
Pull products from inventory and inspection areas to accurately fill customer orders.
Carefully verify product information, part numbers, and quantities before shipment.
Prepare shipping containers and place products in the appropriate containers using proper packing methods.
Enter shipment information into the computer system and generate shipping documentation.
Receive and unload incoming materials and compare quantities against packing slips, freight bills, and other receiving records.
Inspect incoming products for damage and document any discrepancies or damaged goods for the supervisor.
Enter received goods into the computerized inventory system according to established procedures.
Label, pack, stage, and load products for shipment according to specifications.
Pull and push pallets of various sizes and weights using a pallet jack to stage products for receiving or shipping.
Reach overhead and twist as needed to select, store, and put away products on shelving.
Safely climb up and down a 25-foot ladder repeatedly while carrying boxes weighing up to 20 pounds.
Participate in periodic inventory counts and accurately record inventory quantities.
Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work area and equipment.
Follow all established safety procedures and requirements.
Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
General knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
Ability to accurately enter data into a computer system and create reports.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy.
Flexible, friendly, and helpful attitude.
Strong listening and communication skills.
Good judgment and ability to follow established procedures.
Willingness to learn new processes and systems.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 8-10 hours per shift.
Must be able to regularly lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to frequently bend, lift, stretch, reach, and twist both below the waist and above the head.
Ability to use a pallet jack and safely move pallets of varying sizes and weights.
Ability to repeatedly climb a 25-foot ladder while carrying boxes weighing up to 20 pounds.
Ability to work in environments with varying noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperatures.
Ability to access all areas of the facility without limitations.
