About the team
Our Corporate, Commercial and Small and Medium Enterprise (CCSB) Banking practice is EY's wholesale and commercial credit transformation franchise. We help banks reimagine how credit and lending get done - modernizing the end-to-end credit lifecycle, redesigning operating models, and embedding AI and automation into how our clients run their business. Engagements range from focused, multi-week efforts to large-scale, multi-year transformation programs. Our core strengths include:

The opportunity
As a Manager, you will lead engagement teams and workstreams on our clients' transformation programs, while deepening your expertise in corporate, commercial and SME banking. You will connect the project team to client leadership - translating strategy into an executable plan, driving delivery quality and pace, owning direct client relationships, and developing the next generation of consulting talent.
We look for real depth in corporate, commercial and SME banking, built through more than one path. We are equally interested in bank operators - people who have worked inside a bank in credit, underwriting, lending or loan operations, portfolio management, middle-office or business-line roles - and consulting and advisory professionals who have delivered transformation, operating model, process or technology change for banks, ideally within corporate or commercial banking specifically.
Prior consulting experience is valuable but not the only path to this role. Many strong bank operators haven't had a formal opportunity to lead, given the hierarchy of those organizations - so we weigh delivery leadership (owning a workstream, initiative or project end-to-end) and people leadership (managing, coaching or developing others) equally. If your career has been inside a bank rather than advising one, we encourage you to apply: we will build on the consulting toolkit you bring, and we value the operating experience and credibility you offer clients from day one. Across both tracks, our ideal candidate already uses AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude and Replit to research, analyze, draft and proto@type - and is eager to bring that thinking to our clients.
Your key responsibilities
As a Manager, you will typically lead a workstream of 3-4 consultants within a multi-month to multi-year transformation program, with direct ownership of client relationships. You will operate with greater autonomy than earlier-career team members and set the standard for those around you. Specifically, you will:
Lead delivery of a project workstream end-to-end, owning the quality, budget and timeliness of work products
Manage and motivate a team of 3-4 consultants, providing regular, constructive coaching and feedback
Own the day-to-day client relationship for your workstream as a direct, trusted point of contact
Develop an in-depth understanding of clients' needs and goals to help shape solutions, not just execute a plan
Drive the analysis behind the story - current-/future-state assessments, operating model designs, benchmarking and business cases - and know when to challenge the data
Support business growth by contributing to RFP responses, proposals, points of view and other go-to-market materials, alongside client delivery work
Contribute to internal EY initiatives and practice collateral

To qualify for the role, you must have
A bachelor's degree plus approximately 5-9 years of related work experience (or a master's degree plus approximately 4-8 years), including time in a delivery-leadership or people-leadership capacity
Relevant experience through one of two tracks: consulting, advisory or transformation project delivery, ideally within corporate or commercial banking; or hands-on experience in corporate, commercial or SME banking, bank operations, lending operations, or middle-office functions, with experience owning a workstream/initiative end-to-end or managing and developing others
Demonstrated experience across several of the following: operating model design; product/process design or operations management for banking products across the credit or deposit lifecycle; change-the-bank or transformation program strategy and delivery; current-/future-state assessment and gap analysis; channel transformation; core platform transformation; or core system conversions and client migrations
Demonstrated ability to manage a workstream through all phases of the project lifecycle, including project plans, managing deliverables, reviewing outputs, and providing team feedback
Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client-service and technical-writing skills, with genuine interest in deepening CCSB industry and content knowledge
Ability to travel up to approximately 60% over the course of a year, including internationally
Ideally, you'll also have

Hands-on experience applying AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT or Replit to research, analysis, drafting, prototyping and automation
Experience with target operating model design, process re-engineering, current-/future-state assessment, or gap analysis
Exposure to lending operations, core platform modernization, system conversions or client migrations
Knowledge of transaction banking and treasury management - including cash management, commercial card, payments, treasury operations and corporate finance
Knowledge of KYC, AML, and other applicable compliance regulations
A track record contributing to proposals and pursuits, developing reusable practice collateral, and building C-suite client relationships
A PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile/Scrum or comparable delivery-leadership certification

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job is:
New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices - $154,000 to $256,700
Bay Area California offices - $160,500 to $267,400
All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento - $128,400 to $235,300
Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
