About the Opportunity

Our client is a private investment and family office organization overseeing a diverse portfolio of investments and operating entities. They are seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join their growing team and support accounting activities across multiple entities.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where accuracy, initiative, and problem-solving are highly valued. Position Summary

The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and supporting the month-end close process. This individual will work across multiple entities and play a key role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial information.

Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving accounting issues.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts across multiple entities

Prepare and post journal entries

Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations

Support month-end and year-end close activities

Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records

Assist with financial reporting and analysis

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support accounting and reporting needs

Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

3+ years of accounting experience

Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles

Experience performing account reconciliations and supporting month-end close

Experience with Sage Intacct or a similar ERP/accounting system

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy
