Our client, a leader in vehicle development and engineering, is seeking a Vehicle Project Manager, Program Operations to join their team. As a Vehicle Project Manager, Program Operations, you will be part of the Vehicle Program Management department supporting cross-functional teams involved in hardware engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and executive functions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Vehicle Project Manager, Program Operations

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $75-$80/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

Manage vehicle hardware projects and deliverables through the full product life cycle, from concept and development through validation, production ramp, and end of life.

Own project planning and execution: build and maintain schedules, track milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and risks, and drive mitigation plans to closure.

Lead change management activities for hardware systems: assess impact, coordinate cross-functional reviews, and drive engineering changes (ECR/ECO) through approval and implementation.

Plan and facilitate program meetings, milestone checkpoints, and readiness assessments; drive decisions, capture action items, and follow through to closure.

Serve as a central point of contact between engineering, operations, and program stakeholders, streamlining communication, surfacing escalations, and creating visibility across programs.

What's Needed?

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automotive, or a related engineering discipline) or equivalent background.

3+ years of project or program management experience with direct, hands-on experience in automotive hardware or hardware systems development.

Demonstrated experience managing products through the hardware life cycle (concept, design, validation, production, end of life) and applying structured change management (ECR/ECO processes, PLM systems).

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive follow-through in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
