Summary About the Position: This position is located in the Executive Office of the Detroit District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The incumbent serves as the Executive Assistant to the District Command Team. Responsibilities Manage, deconflict, and prioritize a high volume of meeting requests and engagements. Compile and organize read-ahead materials, background papers, and travel itineraries. Plan, coordinate, and execute support for internal and external events. Manage the preparation for regional governance meetings and higher headquarters events. Build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Arrange conferences, briefings, and high-level meetings convened by the Command Team. Screen incoming information, summarize key points, and prioritize items for the team's attention. Specialized Experience: To qualify applicants must possess 1 year of specialized experience at /or equivalent to the GS-11 level in federal service performing work that includes independently managing high-volume executive calendars, strategically prioritizing competing requests, and synthesizing complex operational data into comprehensive briefing materials for leadership. Planning and executing high-visibility internal and external events, to include orchestrating complex itineraries for distinguished visitors, executive-level meetings, and large-scale conferences, resolving complex administrative challenges by tasking subject matter experts and monitoring progress to ensure strict alignment with organizational goals. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
