3rd Shift Maintenance Technician
Job Description
This role focuses on industrial maintenance for high-volume processing equipment during the 3rd shift. You will perform technical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and installation work on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform technical troubleshooting on a variety of industrial equipment, modalities, and technologies across multiple locations.
Conduct regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on high-volume, validated processing equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Review preventative maintenance tasks for effectiveness and frequency, and recommend continuous improvement changes to enhance reliability and performance.
Diagnose potential or actual equipment issues through careful observation, problem identification, and systematic analysis.
Complete operations and project work involving the construction, modification, and installation of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Work with low-voltage, 240-volt, and 480-volt electrical systems in a safe and compliant manner.
Use maintenance work order, inventory, and downtime software to document work performed, track parts usage, and report equipment status.
Read, interpret, and apply electrical ladder diagrams and mechanical blueprints to support troubleshooting and project work.
Collaborate effectively with other team members and departments, using strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Work independently under general guidelines and supervision, prioritizing tasks to meet production and maintenance needs during the 3rd shift.
Essential Skills
At least 5 years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician.
Ability to read, interpret, and practically apply electrical ladder diagrams and mechanical blueprints.
Working knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) or other @types of process control equipment.
Hands-on experience performing preventative maintenance on high-volume, validated processing equipment.
Proficiency in diagnosing equipment issues through observation, problem identification, and analysis.
Experience working with low-voltage, 240-volt, and 480-volt electrical systems.
Ability to effectively read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
Ability to work independently under general guidelines and supervision.
Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and maintenance-related software such as work order, inventory, and downtime systems.
Effective interpersonal skills demonstrated through prior work experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience as an industrial maintenance technician on high-volume processing equipment.
Experience in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems within an industrial environment.
Familiarity with continuous improvement practices related to preventative maintenance programs.
Comfort working on a fixed 3rd shift schedule (11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., five days per week, starting Sunday or Monday night).

Work Environment
This position is a 3rd shift role with hours from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., five days per week, with the shift starting on either Sunday or Monday night. You will work in a clean industrial environment with high-volume, validated processing equipment. The work involves regular interaction with electrical systems, including low voltage, 240-volt, and 480-volt circuits, as well as mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. You will use computers and maintenance software for work orders, inventory management, and tracking equipment downtime. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and adherence to established procedures while working independently under general supervision.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saxonburg, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
