What's a typical day as Accounting Clerk I? You'll be:

Classifying, recording, and summarizing numerical and financial data to compile and maintain financial records using journals, ledgers, or computers

Calculating, preparing, and issuing bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial documents following established procedures

Debiting, crediting, and totaling accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases using specialized accounting software

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

Have strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities

Can work independently and manage your time efficiently

Possess knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting

Have previous experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related accounting software

Hold a high school diploma or GED (required); Associate's degree in accounting or related financial discipline (preferred)

Bring 0-2 years of financial and/or accounting experience
