Description

A growing property management company is looking for a Bookkeeper to join its accounting team and take ownership of day-to-day financial recordkeeping across multiple properties. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, keeping accounts organized, and making sure the numbers tell a clean and accurate story. You'll work closely with property managers and leadership while handling recurring accounting activity, reconciliations, vendor invoices, and financial reporting.

What You'll Do:

Maintain accurate books and accounting records for assigned properties

Record daily financial transactions and journal entries

Reconcile bank and credit card accounts

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

Review invoices for accuracy and proper coding

Prepare tenant charges, payments, and account adjustments

Track vendor payments and outstanding balances

Assist with monthly close activities

Prepare recurring financial reports and property statements

Research discrepancies between bank, tenant, and general ledger records

Maintain organized supporting documentation

Assist with budgets and expense tracking

Communicate with property managers regarding financial questions

Support year-end accounting and audit requests

Assist with other accounting projects as needed

Requirements

2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience

Experience with full-cycle bookkeeping preferred

Strong understanding of debits, credits, reconciliations, and general ledger activity

Microsoft Excel proficiency

Experience with QuickBooks, Yardi, AppFolio, or similar software is a plus

Excellent attention to detail

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Professional communication skills

Property management or real estate accounting experience is preferred
