Job Title: Plant Maintenance Worker
Location: Atkinson, NE
Shift: 1st shift: 7am - 4pm
Pay: $25/hour
Job Summary: Aventure Staffing is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for all daily aspects of preventive and corrective maintenance on farm machinery and processing equipment to ensure operations run smoothly and safely. This role involves troubleshooting, minor repairs, equipment setup, and collaborating with maintenance and operations teams to maintain food safety and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform daily preventive and corrective electrical and mechanical repairs, equipment adjustments, and startups.
Continuous Improvement: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, automatic valves, and grain handling systems. Program PLC/DCS systems as needed.
System Logging: Monitor meters, gauges, and warning signals to identify and diagnose unit malfunctions, leaks, breakages, or faulty components.
Safety & Compliance: Strict adherence to site safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to ensure food safety and quality.
Team Collaboration: Assist senior maintenance craftsmen, participate in ongoing training, and contribute to root-cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures.
Requirements & Physical Demands
Education: 3+ years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience OR a Maintenance Technician Degree.
Experience: Strong electrical background, including PLC/DCS knowledge and the ability to read and update electrical prints. Mechanical background with experience changing bearings, pumps, conveyors, and related equipment
Environment: Varying temperature environments (hot to cold), loud noise levels, dust/fumes, and working near moving mechanical parts.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Hart Communication Systems, Profibus wiring/communication methods, and DeviceNet. Pneumatic and Hydraulic system experience.
Communication: Must be fluent in English
