As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors, tenants, and staff with exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment while reflecting Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.

Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, parking areas, exterior walkways, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.

Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports while maintaining professional communication with property staff, tenants, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

Customer service experience is preferred.

A guard card or license is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
