Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description
This role focuses on safely and efficiently handling warehouse operations, including operating a sit-down propane forklift, loading and unloading trucks, picking and allocating orders, and performing basic cutting and measuring tasks. You help ensure outgoing shipments are accurate, properly prepared, and moved on time while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Responsibilities
Operate a sit-down propane forklift to move, stage, and organize stock for outgoing shipments.
Load and unload trucks at the loading dock and in the yard, ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently.
Pick orders for outgoing shipments using RF scanners to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
Allocate and place product within the warehouse according to established procedures and storage locations.
Use chain saws or skill saws to cut product to specified sizes while following safety guidelines.
Measure materials daily using tape measures to confirm correct dimensions before shipment.
Lift items up to 50 lbs and move or slide product up to 100 lbs as needed to support warehouse operations.
Perform general clean-up of the work area at the end of the shift to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
Support inventory and material handling activities, including organizing, counting, and tracking stock.
Follow all safety policies and procedures while working in the warehouse and yard.
Essential Skills
At least 2 years of experience operating forklifts, specifically sit-down propane forklifts.
Proficiency in general material handling, including loading, unloading, and moving product safely.
Ability to use RF scanners for picking orders and tracking inventory.
Experience with inventory-related tasks such as stocking, organizing, and counting materials.
Ability to operate chain saws or skill saws to cut product to required sizes while maintaining safety standards.
Competence in using tape measures and basic measuring tools to verify product dimensions.
Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and move or slide product up to 100 lbs as required.
Reliable attendance and willingness to stay until all customer orders are completed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Comfort working in both indoor warehouse environments and outdoor yard areas.
Experience in general labor roles within warehousing or distribution settings.
Attention to detail when picking, measuring, and allocating products.
Strong commitment to workplace safety when operating forklifts, saws, and other equipment.
Ability to adapt to changing workloads, including overtime and extended shifts when needed.

Work Environment
You work primarily in a warehouse setting from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with shifts that may extend to 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. depending on customer orders. You are expected to remain on-site until all orders are completed. Overtime is possible after regular hours and on Saturdays, especially during peak periods. Most duties take place indoors in the warehouse, but you will also work outside at times to load and unload trucks in the yard. The environment involves regular use of forklifts, RF scanners, saws, and measuring tools, and requires adherence to safety procedures while performing physical tasks such as lifting and moving product.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.81 - $20.81/hr.
