What You'll Be Doing
Reconcile company credit card transactions and ensure expenses are coded accurately.
Review employee expense reports and supporting documentation.
Assist with bank reconciliations and help investigate discrepancies.
Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
Prepare balance sheet schedules and supporting workpapers.
Assist with financial reporting and analysis.
Work closely with accounting and operations teams to support active construction projects.
Help identify process improvements and opportunities to increase efficiency.
What We're Looking For
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
OR
Associate's degree in Accounting plus 1-2 years of accounting experience within a construction, subcontractor, or project-based environment
Preferred:
Internship, part-time, or professional experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, AP, AR, payroll, or construction accounting
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Humble, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $33.65/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
