Senior Finance Manager / Greater Springfield, MA area

We're partnering on a Senior Finance Manager search with a growing organization. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role that combines Controllership, FP& A, operational finance, and team leadership. The Senior Finance Manager will partner closely with site leadership and corporate finance while maintaining a strong presence within the operation. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys getting beyond the numbers - spending time on the shop floor, partnering with operations, understanding the drivers behind financial results, and using that knowledge to improve performance.

Main Responsibilities:

Lead all accounting operations (GL, close, reporting, controls)

Own budgeting & forecasting in partnership with operations and corporate FP& A

Analyze financial performance, cost drivers, and variances

Partner closely with plant leadership on cost control, purchasing, and business decisions

Drive process improvements and efficiencies across finance and operations

Provide financial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making

What They're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience

Strong hands-on accounting background combined with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

Experience working within a manufacturing, plant, shop-floor, or similarly operational environment

Preferred Experience

Aerospace, defense, government contracting, or another complex manufacturing environment

Experience implementing process improvements, automation, or technology-driven efficiencies

Exposure to AI-enabled finance/accounting tools or process improvements

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience

Strong hands-on accounting background combined with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

Preferred Experience
