Two Positions Available - 1 in Fayette County and 1 in Pickens County
Court Referral Services, Inc. is seeking a qualified and dependable individual to serve as a Court Referral Officer (CRO). The Court Referral Officer is responsible for managing adult and juvenile referrals received from municipal, district, and circuit courts through the Court Referral Program.
This position involves client assessment, case management, compliance monitoring, court communication, documentation, and coordination with courts and other agencies. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, able to work independently, and comfortable working directly with clients involved in the criminal and juvenile justice systems.
Essential Job Duties
Responsibilities of the Court Referral Officer include, but are not limited to:
Manage adult and juvenile Court Referral Program cases referred by municipal, district, and circuit courts.
Interview, evaluate, and place new clients at the appropriate program level based on standardized assessments, court orders, and established program criteria.
Monitor client participation and compliance with all program and court-ordered requirements.
Return non-compliant cases to the appropriate court with required documentation and notice consistent with applicable due process requirements.
Formally close, transfer, or terminate cases and ensure all required documentation is properly completed.
Attend municipal, district, and circuit court proceedings to provide client updates and testify when necessary.
Maintain accurate, complete, and timely case files and records.
Review case files for compliance with Administrative Office of Courts (AOC) standards and initiate corrective action when deficiencies are identified.
Communicate professionally with judges, court personnel, attorneys, treatment providers, law enforcement agencies, clients, and other community partners.
Prepare and submit required monthly reports to the Director no later than the 3rd of each month.
Maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding client information and program records.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff that are consistent with the employee's training and job classification.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
Some administrative experience and basic computer skills.
At least two years of work experience in alcoholism, substance use disorders, law enforcement, counseling, criminal justice, social services, or a related field.
o A master's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to provide required employment identification and documentation.
Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to maintain organized and accurate records while managing multiple cases and deadlines.
Ability to interact professionally with court officials, clients, coworkers, treatment providers, and members of the public.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
Applicants who are in recovery must have maintained at least two years of continuous sobriety prior to employment.
Former Court Referral Program clients must have successfully completed the program at least two years prior to employment.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary court and treatment team.
