Where You Will Work???

Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. As a Hybrid employee, you'll engage in virtual collaboration as well as attend in-person meetings at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix or at one of our site locations. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Amenities at the Hub include a working café, phone booths and meeting rooms with technology tools for virtual and in-person collaboration.?In-person attendance may vary based on the position and department requirements.

What You Will Do

Responsible for planning, developing and implementing comprehensive commissioning plans, manpower resources and managing the pre-commissioning and commissioning effort effectively as required for start up of capital projects.

Work with EPCM contractor to obtain pre-commissioning plan to be used as the basis for the wet/ore commissioning and start up plan.

Review a P&IDs, design drawings and specifications to fully understand designated project areas and pre-commissioning systems and subsystems.

Understand structure of turn over packages as defined on markup P&ID's and flow sheets furnished by the EPCM.

Provide input as needed on TOP structure to EPCM as required to ensure logical turnover sequence.

Review all scope outside EPCM battery limits for items to be supplied by owner; any interface items required for successful plant startup such as power supply, water supply, control system design and supply, reagents, raw material feed supplies, ancillary systems, etc. shall be included in the integrated commissioning plans as well as an integrated construction and mechanical completion milestone schedule.

Collaborate with Construction Managers and discipline Superintendents to understand construction sequence and upcoming areas for pre-commissioning and commissioning.

Develop commissioning schedule, plans, and procedures and conducts punchlist inspections.

Ensure that all commissioning activities are captured in the project systems and works with Document Controls to prepare turnover package documentation.

Direct the activities of consultants and contractors.

Perform other duties as required.

What You Bring To Freeport

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent in training and/or field experience ?and ?a minimum ten (10) years of experience in the field, ?OR

High School diploma or GED? and ?a minimum fifteen (15) years progressive experience in the field

What We Offer You

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently? $112,000-$160,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance.? Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration.? Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements.? More details will be shared during the hiring process.?

What We Require

Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment using mandatory pre-employment drug testing as allowed by applicable laws.?

Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 80% of the time (up to 40% domestic travel and up to 40% international travel), based on business needs. Domestic travel may require extended time at operating sites, including week-long assignments or longer. International travel typically involves trips of two weeks or more. This position also requires a minimum of two days per week working on-site at company locations and may require additional on-site presence based on operational needs.
