Job Description**
The Tool Crib Attendant supports aviation operations by managing and issuing tools, equipment, and related inventory for an aviation facility. This role ensures that technicians have timely access to the correct tools, maintains accurate stock levels, and contributes to a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the tool crib, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored, organized, and easily accessible.
Issue tools and equipment to aviation technicians and other authorized personnel, following established procedures and tracking all transactions.
Maintain accurate inventory records for tools, equipment, and related materials using manual logs or inventory systems.
Monitor stock levels and identify tools or supplies that need replenishment to support ongoing aviation maintenance activities.
Inspect tools upon return for damage or wear and report issues or remove unsafe items from circulation.
Label, tag, and track tools and equipment to ensure proper identification and traceability.
Assist in periodic inventory counts and audits to verify stock accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Follow safety guidelines and company procedures when handling tools and equipment to support a safe working environment.
Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to anticipate tool needs and help minimize downtime.
Keep the tool crib area clean, orderly, and compliant with internal standards.
Essential Skills
Experience working in an aviation or aerospace environment, supporting maintenance or operations activities.
Strong inventory management skills, including tracking, counting, and organizing tools and equipment.
Ability to maintain accurate records and follow established procedures for issuing and returning tools.
Attention to detail when inspecting tools, recording transactions, and managing stock levels.
Basic understanding of aviation tools and equipment commonly used in aircraft maintenance.
Reliable organizational skills to keep the tool crib area orderly and efficient.
Ability to communicate clearly with technicians and other team members regarding tool availability and requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience in a tool crib, storeroom, warehouse, or similar inventory control role.
Familiarity with inventory tracking systems or basic computer applications for logging and reporting.
Knowledge of safe handling practices for tools and equipment in an aviation maintenance environment.
Capability to support periodic inventory audits and assist in resolving stock discrepancies.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
