Summary About the Position: This position is located at the Directorate of Strategic Management Future Integrations Office, at Letterkenny Army Depot. The Selectee may be expected to Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) up to 50% of the time for this position to Kuwait. This position supports senior engineers to improve Allied Partner's equipment readiness by preparing production repair plans that meet the scope of work. Assist in identifying alternative parts, materials, and sources for unavailable components. Modifies and adapts engineering documentation for electronics materiel. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Applying electronics or industrial engineering principles to assist in developing repair or modification plans for electronic systems and assemblies: 2) Reviewing technical documentation, including schematics and specification criteria to support maintenance or sustainment operations; 3) Assisting in project planning and execution such as coordinating resources or recommending alternative parts or materials for unavailable components: and/or 4) Conducting technical instruction, training or on-the-job mentoring to individuals or groups on repair procedures, quality standards or depot/field level maintenance practices. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
