Machine Operator

Job Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for the efficient, safe, and quality-focused operation of assigned machinery or machine sections within the production environment. This role ensures products are manufactured according to specifications, maintains quality standards, completes required documentation, and supports a safe and compliant workplace.

Key Responsibilities

Operate assigned production machinery efficiently and safely to meet production goals.

Load component parts into assembly machines according to production orders and specified part numbers.

Verify that all parts and materials used match production specifications before and during production.

Inspect work-in-progress and finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Complete all required production records, reports, and paperwork accurately and timely.

Perform minor machine adjustments and troubleshooting as needed to maintain production flow.

Report major equipment issues or malfunctions to the Maintenance Mechanic or Supervisor.

Assist with or receive training on mechanical duties to support higher-level equipment maintenance activities.

Follow all BRC, GMP, safety, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through proper housekeeping practices.

Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to achieve production objectives.

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Technical school training and/or equivalent on-the-job training preferred.

Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is preferred.

Skills & Abilities

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

Ability to follow written instructions, production orders, and standard operating procedures.

Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the work shift.

Ability to safely operate production equipment and machinery.

Capability to lift and move materials as required by production needs.

Working Conditions

Manufacturing and production environment.

Exposure to moving mechanical equipment, noise, and production-related conditions.

Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as designated by company policy.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining production efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety while supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Pay Details: $16.50 to $18.50 per week
