Construction Foreman

Elite Manufacturing and Professional Services is currently hiring a Construction Foreman for a commercial construction client in Kingsport, TN. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced construction professional with commercial construction experience and strong leadership skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily job-site activities, coordinating crews, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring work is completed efficiently and according to project specifications.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday. Schedule details will be provided during the hiring process. Overtime may be available based on project needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of commercial construction crews and subcontractors

Assign tasks and responsibilities to crew members based on project requirements

Monitor job-site progress and ensure projects remain on schedule

Read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and project documents

Ensure work is completed according to project specifications, quality standards, and applicable building codes

Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, and manpower needed to complete daily work

Inspect completed and ongoing work for quality, accuracy, and compliance

Communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other personnel

Train, direct, and provide guidance to employees and crew members

Identify and address job-site issues, delays, and safety concerns

Enforce company and job-site safety policies and procedures

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Track daily progress, materials, manpower, and other job-site information as needed

Assist with scheduling and coordinating work activities

Perform hands-on construction work when necessary

Provide regular updates regarding project progress, staffing, materials, and job-site concerns

Perform additional construction and supervisory duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Commercial construction experience required

Previous construction foreman, lead, or supervisory experience required

Strong knowledge of comm

ercial job-site safety practices and procedures

Knowledge of applicable construction codes and quality standards

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to effectively direct and motivate a construction crew

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced commercial construction environment

Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to the job site

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Must be willing and able to follow all required safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work for extended periods

Ability to lift and carry construction materials and equipment

Ability to work outdoors and in varying job-site conditions

Ability to safely operate or work around construction tools and equipment

Ability to perform hands-on construction duties when required

Employment Information: This position is being filled by Elite Manufacturing and Professional Services, a staffing and workforce solutions company. Employees will be hired as W-2 employees through Elite and assigned to work at our client's commercial construction site in Kingsport, TN.
