The opportunity
As a Senior in the Supply Chain Manufacturing practice you will help clients establish, optimize, and transform manufacturing operations by combining functional manufacturing knowledge with technology delivery skills. You will work directly with client stakeholders, plant teams, engineers, operators, IT and OT teams, and solution providers to translate operational needs into deployable capabilities that improve productivity, reliability, quality, visibility, and manufacturing agility.
You will contribute across the delivery lifecycle, from current-state assessment and process design through requirements, solution design, testing, deployment, adoption, and value realization. Success in this role requires the ability to move fluently between the shop floor and the technology landscape, connecting business outcomes to systems, data, integration, and user workflows.
Your key responsibilities
In this dynamic role, you will contribute significantly to projects and solutions that impact the manufacturing domain. Your informed judgment and use of appropriate methodologies will be essential in providing recommendations that affect your immediate team. You will also assist in coordinating work for junior colleagues or team members, ensuring that performance objectives and metrics are met across client service, quality and risk management, sales and business growth, solution development, and teaming.
Lead or support client-facing manufacturing transformation workstreams and define clear, executable project deliverables.
Assess manufacturing processes, pain points, performance gaps, user needs, data flows, and technology constraints across plant environments.
Translate manufacturing business and operations requirements into functional designs, user stories, process flows, data requirements, integration requirements, acceptance criteria, and implementation plans.
Configure, proto@type, test, or support deployment of digital manufacturing solutions in partnership with client technical teams and technology vendors.
Connect plant-floor use cases with enterprise and operational systems, including ERP, MES/MOM, connected worker platforms, historians, SCADA, quality, maintenance, laboratory, warehouse, planning, and analytics solutions.
Support solution architecture and integration discussions across IT and OT environments, including system interfaces, master data, transactional data, equipment data, and reporting needs.
Plan and execute functional testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, cutover, training, hypercare, and benefits tracking.
Facilitate workshops with operators, supervisors, engineers, quality, maintenance, supply chain, IT, and leadership stakeholders.
Identify delivery risks, dependencies, decisions, and issues; communicate status and recommendations clearly to client and engagement leadership.
Coordinate tasks for junior team members, review work products, and contribute to a high-quality, collaborative delivery environment.
Support account teams with solution shaping, technical sales, demonstrations, estimates, proposals, and responses to requests for proposals.
Skills and attributes for success
To thrive in this role, candidates should demonstrate a blended profile across manufacturing operations, digital technology, data, and implementation delivery. Strong candidates may have deeper experience in selected areas while showing the ability to connect across the full solution.
Manufacturing functional expertise: Production operations, production planning and scheduling, shop-floor execution, operational excellence, asset productivity, maintenance, quality, warehouse operations, material flow, performance management, or new plant and line start-up.
Digital manufacturing and industrial AI platforms: Hands-on functional, implementation, or solution-design experience with one or more manufacturing platforms, including MES/MOM, connected worker, electronic work instructions, EBR, digital performance management, maintenance, quality, warehouse, planning, industrial analytics, or AI-enabled operations solutions such as SymphonyAI and similar platforms.
Enterprise and plant systems: Working knowledge of how ERP and supply chain applications connect with plant systems, including MES/MOM, SCADA, historians, PLC-enabled data, LIMS, QMS, EAM/CMMS, WMS, and reporting tools.
Requirements and solution design: Ability to convert operational needs into process designs, functional requirements, user stories, workflows, data mappings, interface requirements, roles, controls, and acceptance criteria.
Data and integration: Ability to understand manufacturing data structures and flows, identify source systems, define reporting or analytics requirements, and collaborate on API, middleware, interface, and master-data considerations.
Implementation delivery: Experience supporting or leading design, configuration, testing, validation, deployment, cutover, training, adoption, hypercare, and continuous improvement activities.
Problem solving and communication: Structured problem solving, critical thinking, workshop facilitation, concise documentation, stakeholder management, and the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Consulting and commercial skills: Client relationship building, ownership of deliverables, quality and risk awareness, teamwork, learning agility, and support for proposals, estimates, demonstrations, or solution shaping.
To qualify for the role, you must have
A bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, operations, information systems, computer science, business, or a related field.
Approximately 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, supply chain, industrial technology, systems implementation, consulting, or a related environment.
Experience working in or with manufacturing operations and the ability to explain how technology supports operational processes and business outcomes.
Experience producing structured delivery artifacts such as process maps, requirements, user stories, functional designs, test scripts, training materials, deployment plans, or status and risk reporting.
Ability and willingness to work directly with clients and travel to manufacturing sites as required by engagement needs. Travel can range from 80-100%.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across business, engineering, IT, OT, and vendor teams.
Ideally, you'll also have
Experience with one or more industry sectors such as life sciences, consumer products, chemicals, automotive, aerospace and defense, industrial products, or advanced manufacturing.
Exposure to P&G's Integrated Work System (IWS) methodology and related manufacturing operating-system practices, including zero-loss thinking, total employee ownership, daily direction setting, standard work, loss elimination, reliability, autonomous maintenance, capability building, and Run-to-Target deployment; experience with Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or vertical start-up is also valued.
Exposure to Industry 4.0 and industrial AI capabilities such as connected worker, predictive and generative AI, industrial copilots or agents, advanced analytics, digital twin, industrial IoT, computer vision, predictive maintenance, quality intelligence, or workflow optimization, including familiarity with solutions such as SymphonyAI and comparable platforms.
Working knowledge of manufacturing architecture concepts, including ISA-95, IT/OT convergence, cybersecurity considerations, cloud or edge patterns, and shop-floor connectivity.
Experience with regulated manufacturing, computer system validation, data integrity, or quality and compliance requirements.
Relevant platform, project management, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, or manufacturing certifications.

The salary range for this job is:
New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices - $116,700 to $194,500
Bay Area California offices - $121,600 to $202,600
All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento - $97,300 to $178,300
Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
