Description We are looking for an Accountant to support core accounting operations for a company based in Chino, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for an organized individual who can manage day-to-day financial activities, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a well-organized accounting function. The role will focus on general ledger activity, reconciliations, and transaction processing while using Sage X3 and advanced Excel tools to improve accuracy and reporting.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries to maintain complete and accurate financial records.

Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts regularly, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

Support general ledger close activities by reviewing transactions, validating account balances, and ensuring proper documentation.

Process and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with attention to accuracy and timeliness.

Use Sage X3 to record accounting activity, review financial data, and support routine accounting operations.

Build and maintain Excel reports using formulas, pivot tables, and lookup functions to analyze data and track key account details.

Assist with accounting tasks such as account analysis, variance review, and preparation of supporting schedules.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather financial information and help maintain consistent accounting procedures. Requirements - Experience in accounting or staff accountant positions with hands-on responsibility for day-to-day financial operations.

Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

Practical experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Proficiency with Sage X3 or a comparable accounting system.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.

Ability to identify discrepancies, analyze financial data, and resolve issues with a high level of accuracy.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a contract environment.
