Job Description
U.S. Bank is seeking an innovative and strategic technology leader to serve as the Head of WCIB AI Technology. This executive leadership role is responsible for accelerating Artificial Intelligence adoption across Wealth, Corporate, Commercial, and Institutional Banking (WCIB). The leader will establish and execute the AI strategy, operating model, and delivery framework that enables business lines to leverage enterprise AI capabilities, accelerate innovation, improve productivity, and drive measurable business outcomes while maintaining strong governance and risk controls.
Key Responsibilities
Defineandexecuteamulti-year AI technology strategy and roadmap thatadvancesclientexperiences,operationalefficiency,employeeproductivity,andbusinessgrowthacross WCIB .
Leadthedevelopmentandoperationofa federated AI delivery model ,establishingAIengineeringpodsembeddedwithinbusiness-alignedtechnologyorganizations.
Partnerwithseniorbusiness,product,andtechnologyleaderstoidentify,prioritize,anddeliver high-value AI use cases thatdrivemeasurableoutcomes.
Accelerateadoptionof Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, and enterprise AI platforms acrossWCIBtechnologyteams.
CollaboratewithenterpriseAIorganizationsandCentersofExcellencetoleveragesharedplatforms,reusableservices,andstandardizedAIarchitectures.
EstablishscalableAIengineeringpractices,frameworks,tooling,andgovernancethatenablerapidandconsistentdeliveryacrossmultiplebusinessunits.
DriveAI-enabledimprovementsacrossthe software development lifecycle ,increasingengineeringproductivity,codequality,deliveryspeed,andoperationalexcellence.
LeadAItalentstrategyincludingworkforceplanning,recruitment,capabilitydevelopment,mentoring,andupskillinginitiatives.
Ensureadherencetoenterprisestandardsfor Responsible AI, model governance, security, compliance, risk management, and regulatory requirements .
Influenceexecutivestakeholdersandtechnologyleadersacrosstheorganizationtocreatealignment,removebarriers,andscaleAIinnovationthroughoutWCIB.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
10 or more years of relevant software engineering experience
Six or more years of experience leading multiple software engineering teams

Location expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $170,255.00 - $200,300.00
