As a Commercial Sales Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor, helping customers identify, evaluate, and implement the right water treatment solutions to achieve their goals.
The Commercial Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic customer relationships, expanding market presence, and leading commercial activities across assigned territories and market segments. This role requires a strong blend of technical understanding, commercial acumen, and relationship-building skills to successfully position Chart Water as the preferred provider of water treatment solutions.

What Will You Do?
Develop and execute territory sales strategies to achieve and exceed annual revenue and growth objectives.
Drive new business development activities in municipal, industrial, commercial, and private utility water markets.
Own territory sales goals, bookings targets, and pipeline development objectives.
Build, maintain, and expand relationships with consulting engineers, municipalities, industrial end users, EPC firms, utilities, contractors, regulators, and key industry stakeholders.
Maintain a healthy sales pipeline through Salesforce CRM and provide accurate forecasting of opportunities and bookings.Identify and develop opportunities for drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment, water reuse, desalination, and emerging contaminant treatment applications.
Collaborate with engineering and proposal teams to develop technically sound and commercially competitive solutions.
Lead customer discovery discussions to understand water quality challenges, treatment goals, compliance requirements, operational constraints, and project drivers.
Present Chart Water's technologies and capabilities through customer meetings, webinars, technical presentations, lunch-and-learn sessions, and industry events.
Support proposal development, pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and project handoff activities.
Provide market intelligence on competitors, emerging technologies, customer trends, and regulatory developments.
Develop strategic partnerships with manufacturers' representatives, channel partners, and industry influencers.
Represent Chart Water at regional and national industry conferences, trade shows, and professional association events.
Contribute to long-term market development strategies and product positioning initiatives.
Promote aftermarket services, replacement media, membrane systems, operations support, and lifecycle service offerings to maximize customer value.
Your Experience Should Be...
Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales, business development, account management, or commercial leadership within the water treatment industry.
Demonstrated success achieving territory growth and sales objectives.
Experience selling capital equipment, engineered systems, process equipment, or treatment technologies within municipal and/or industrial water markets.
Strong understanding of water treatment processes including adsorption, filtration, ion exchange, membrane technologies, biological treatment, disinfection, and advanced treatment systems.
Ability to interpret water quality data and recommend treatment solutions based on customer objectives and regulatory requirements.
Experience working with consulting engineers, utilities, municipalities, industrial end users, and contractors.
Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.Proven ability to influence stakeholders throughout complex sales cycles
.Experience managing multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
Self-starter with excellent problem-solving and relationship-management capabilities.
Proficiency using CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
Ability to travel up to 50% within assigned territory
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PFAS treatment projects and regulatory-driven solutions.
Understanding of EPA drinking water and wastewater regulations.
Knowledge of municipal procurement and competitive bidding processes.
Experience selling multi-million-dollar water infrastructure projects.
Existing relationships within municipal, industrial, engineering consulting, and utility markets.
Experience supporting design-build, EPC, and public procurement projects.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and industry experience will be considered.
