Customer Operations Supervisor

Job Description

Own customer orders from release through shipment, ensuring timely routing, processing, and execution.

Monitor order status daily and proactively identify, escalate, and resolve issues that could delay shipment.

Maintain and update order tracking tools to ensure visibility of shipment status, priorities, and exceptions.

Coordinate closely with warehouse operations to communicate shipping priorities and expedite at-risk orders.

Ensure compliance with customer-specific routing guides, labeling requirements, packaging standards, pallet configurations, documentation requirements, and shipping instructions.

Generate and validate routing requests, shipping documentation, bills of lading, and freight paperwork.

Work directly with carriers, customers, and internal teams to coordinate shipment scheduling and issue resolution.

Review compliance requirements before orders are processed to minimize chargebacks and shipping violations.

Monitor workload, priorities, and performance of Customer Operations team members, including Alex and Vanessa.

Establish daily priorities, provide direction, and hold team members accountable for timely completion of assigned work.

Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse Operations, Transportation, and Planning teams to support customer commitments.

Identify opportunities to improve order execution processes, shipment visibility, and customer compliance performance.

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of experience in customer operations, logistics coordination, order management, transportation, supply chain, or distribution operations.

Experience managing customer orders from release through shipment.

Strong understanding of routing, freight coordination, shipping documentation, and customer compliance requirements.

Experience working with warehouse operations and transportation providers.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office applications.

Experience using ERP, order management, transportation management, or warehouse management systems.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.

Prior leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
