CONFIGURATION MANAGER (TCE)
Bowhead seeks a Configuration Manager to join our Tactical Communications and Electromagnetic Warfare (TCE) team in Stafford, VA.The Configuration Manager will perform administrative and technical tasks required to support continuous Configuration Management (CM) activities in accordance with approved PMO/PO Configuration Management Plans and applicable MCSC policies. Activities include drafting and maintaining baseline documentation, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), CM Plan annexes, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); participating in Configuration Review Boards (CRBs), Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), configuration audits, and other CM forums; identifying and tracking hardware, software, documentation, and other configuration items; and documenting and implementing formal change-control processes.
Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
Perform the administrative and technical tasks required to facilitate continuous CM activities, to include drafting baseline documentation, Engineering Change Proposals, and CM Plan annexes; participating in Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), Configuration Review Boards and audits; identifying and tracking hardware, software, and program documentation; and documenting and implementing change control processes
Utilize the program's preferred CM tool (i.e., CMPro, Jira) to track and manage configuration items
Manage the security, receipt, and distribution of data in accordance with the CM Plan, to include classified documents for system upgrades or replacements
Provide engineering expertise and leverage knowledge of defense standardization documents and industry best standards to review and submit technical edit recommendations to program documents (i.e., training packages, design documentation handbook) and participate in drawing reviews and configuration audits
Participate in Working Groups, Integrated Product Team Meetings, Technical Reviews, and Decision Briefings with internal and external stakeholders
Candidate must have working knowledge of:
Systems Engineering and CM concepts, documentation, methodologies, best practices, and tools such as CMPRO and Jira
Applicable Military Standards (MIL-STD) (e.g., MIL-STD-961, MIL-STD-963, and MIL-STD-31000) and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) documentation (e.g., Y14 Series, etc.)
Qualifications
BS/ BA degree
Six to eight (6-8) years of relevant professional experience, including demonstrated experience supporting Configuration Management activities in a DoD, federal acquisition, or comparable technical environment.
Intermediate knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite (ie. MS Teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint).
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Experience supporting government or military environments is highly desired.
Targeted salary range is $85,000 to $100,000 annually based on qualifications and experience.

Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
