Description We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations for a construction and contractor business in Friendswood, Texas. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working across administrative, accounting, and people-support functions while helping both internal teams and external contacts stay organized. The role offers broad exposure to office coordination, financial support activities, and human resources administration, with cross-training built in to ensure dependable coverage across key tasks.

Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support across office and accounting activities to help maintain accurate information flow for employees, customers, and vendors.

Partner with the human resources team on hiring and employee lifecycle tasks, including onboarding, offboarding, background screening, compliance-related documentation, and payroll support.

Assist with accounts receivable operations by preparing customer billing, maintaining portal access, following up on collections, and gathering supporting documentation for invoices.

Learn accounts payable procedures to serve as backup coverage, including responding to vendor questions, supporting weekly payment runs, and reviewing coding or distribution details.

Coordinate general office needs such as ordering supplies, helping organize team events, and supporting delivery or front-office coverage as needed.

Enter, update, and verify data in internal records and spreadsheets to promote accuracy and timely processing.

Answer inbound calls and provide courteous front-desk support by directing inquiries and responding to routine requests.

Document workflows and contribute to process improvements that help the department operate efficiently as priorities shift. Requirements - Experience in administrative support within an office environment.

Ability to manage data entry tasks with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Comfortable handling inbound phone calls and providing attentive customer service.

Familiarity with general office coordination, including scheduling, supplies, and receptionist-style duties.

Exposure to accounting support functions such as billing, collections, accounts payable, or payroll is preferred.

Ability to learn multiple processes and provide backup support across different departments.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance changing priorities and deadlines. TalentMatch®
