Work Schedule : Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Ally Internship Program guides and mentors students with development opportunities and experiences that support your career interests while also driving the business forward. You'll have the opportunity to connect with diverse teams and functions across the company. You will interact with Ally's leadership and learn from their personal successes. You will gain the experience to know what it means to be an Ally!
The Work Itself
As part of our Internship Program, you will have an opportunity to:
Have hands on experience and project-based work
Attend Orientation, Executive Speaking Series, and learning sessions as an Intern cohort
Participate in Mentoring Program and Giving Back Events
Network with your peers, your team, and those Allys you find interesting
Lead an end of assignment presentation
The Details:
Internship Program Timing: May 21 - July 31, 2027 (tentative)
40 hours each week with a mix of in-office and remote working days
Project-based work
Market competitive hourly compensation and a sign-on bonus, as well as financial housing assistance for those who qualify
Successful interns will have the opportunity to return to Ally in an Early Talent Program or full-time role, or to a second internship, depending upon graduation timing.
The Work Itself
Consumer Banking:
Consumer Banking is all about the customer. The primary focus of the internship role will be supporting the Deposits Pricing analytics team as they focus externally on how ally is showing up in the marketplace.
Intern Key Experiences:
Learn about Deposit Pricing and understand how we support key Business Partners including Deposit Pricing, Deposit Product Strategy, Marketing Analytics, Finance, Treasury, and Balance Sheet Management
Learn to query and transform large datasets into business insights using SQL, with an emphasis on time series analysis techniques
Effectively leverage AI tools for coding, automation, data analysis, and insight discovery.
Develop, automate, and publish information reports (Power BI, automated Excel dashboards, etc.) and present analysis to key stakeholders and leadership using data storytelling best practices
The Skills You Bring
Required qualifications.
Rising Junior or Senior (during the time of internship) in a full-time undergraduate program.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
Available for the full duration of the internship program.
Eligible to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship from the company now or in the future.
A passion for the financial services and technology industry is strongly preferred.
Preferred qualifications.
Technical Skills - Experience with a wide variety of tools: Snowflake, Excel, Power BI, Posit (Python and/or R).
Communication skills - strong written skills and verbal communication, ability to present ideas clearly and professionally, and comfort working with multiple stakeholders.
Problem solving - strategic, problem-solving, customer-focused proactive mindset, ability to troubleshoot small issues and escalate when needed, and openness to feedback and continuous improvement.
Collaboration and adaptability - Comfortable collaborating with partner analytics teams and product managers, and a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Organizational skills - ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through and reliability
Responsive to feedback.
Preferred degrees: Computer Science, Data Science.

Base Pay Range
$25.00 - $33.00
