Summary About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Fort Huachuca, AZ and serves as an Information Technology Projects Integration Officer. Responsibilities Serve as the Information Technology (IT) Project Manager for directorate-assigned technology initiatives. Define the scope for complex technology initiatives to ensure complete alignment with strategic modernized capabilities and critical operational requirements. Analyze project progress to maintain proactive situational awareness. Provide executive advisory services and contract oversight to ensure contractor performance objectives are met. Exercise delegated authority to make on-the-spot decisions to resolve high-conflict performance issues. Establish effective local security procedures to maintain the overall cybersecurity posture of G6 systems. Developing comprehensive project plans to ensure proposed systems are compatible with existing architecture; 2. Overseeing IT service contracts or investment portfolios to ensure contractor activities align with command needs; 3. Formulating corrective action plans (e.g., Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M)) to systematically track and remediate system vulnerabilities; and 4. Delivering strategic recommendations or actionable performance briefings to senior management. The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
