Summary You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MIL) in the Navy Talent Acquistion Group (NTAG) of NAV RECRUITING DISTRICT NASHVILLE. Responsibilities You will serve as senior advisor for assigned military-and civilian employees in the daily operation of the NRPS. You will prepare workload and production reports, and addresses problems encountered in meeting work schedules. You will monitor the daily processing of scheduled and walk-in applicants. Ensures operations and scheduled actions are completed in view of Navy Recruiting goals and needs. You will perform liaison functions between the NTAG and the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) regarding applicant-processing actions You will research and provides factual information regarding current, applicable rules, regulations, procedures, policy and requirements to provide explanations of actions taken or recommended. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Applying personnel policies, procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain personnel service records; 2) Researching information in records and databases to respond to inquiries regarding human resources issues; 3) Using automated systems to create and maintain records; and 4) Providing direct customer service to customers in a team-focused environment. Education Additional Information Term appointments may be extended up to 8 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations. Additionally, you may be noncompetitively converted to a permanent career-conditional or career appointment under specific conditions. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
