As an Armed Security Officer - Transit Walking Patrol in Boulder, CO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will respond professionally to evolving situations while supporting a welcoming environment for riders, visitors, and staff. Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding property.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.

Maintain a professional presence while monitoring access points, pedestrian traffic, and vehicle activity, helping to deter unauthorized access and disruptive conduct.

Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel and emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

Have 3+ years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, Armed Security Professional, or Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.

Have 1+ years of security-related experience.

Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.

Provide a DD214 with an Honorable Discharge, an Associate Degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
