This seasonal, field-based role focuses on executing candidate attraction and community outreach activities within an assigned local market. Working from a clearly defined playbook and under the guidance of a Market Response Specialist, you will carry out grassroots recruiting efforts, build relationships with community partners, and promote referral and hiring programs for entry-level warehouse roles. You will work independently in the field, manage your own weekly schedule within a 32-hour framework, and provide detailed reporting on your activities and local market insights.
Responsibilities
Execute weekly in-market recruiting and outreach activities as outlined in the provided playbook, ensuring consistent and high-quality execution.
Place and refresh recruiting collateral, including flyers, posters, and QR codes, at designated locations throughout the local market.
Conduct regular visits to community partner locations to maintain, replenish, and optimize the visibility of hiring materials.
Distribute referral program materials on-site and engage associates about referral opportunities, acting as a visible and proactive Referral Ambassador.
Attend and support local hiring events, job fairs, community events, and information sessions, including assisting with presentation decks and event logistics.
Perform grassroots canvassing, including door-to-door outreach to local businesses and posting materials in high-traffic community locations.
Engage confidently and professionally with community members, local businesses, housing communities, and associate populations to promote open roles.
Recruit creatively for high-volume, tier 1 entry-level warehouse roles that may not require resumes, interviews, prior work experience, or a high school diploma, adapting tactics to reach a limited candidate pool.
Collect and report local market intelligence, such as competitor signage, community feedback, and transportation barriers, and share insights with the Market Response Specialist.
Maintain accurate tracking logs of all activities completed, including locations visited, materials placed, conversations held, and events supported.
Provide weekly activity reports to the Market Response Specialist documenting execution status, outcomes, and field observations.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Residence within a commutable distance (generally within 30-45 minutes) of the assigned market location.
Reliable personal transportation for travel within the local market area.
Ability to work independently in the field while following documented processes and a defined playbook with support from a Market Response Specialist.
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail for tracking, logging, and reporting activities.
Comfort engaging with community members, local businesses, housing communities, and associate populations in a highly social, public-facing role.
Clear written and verbal communication skills for outreach, follow-up, and reporting.
Customer service mindset with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle a variety of in-person interactions.
Availability to work a flexible 32-hour weekly schedule, including some weekends, and occasional early morning or evening hours based on market needs.
Dependability and accountability for meeting commitments, schedules, and reporting deadlines.
Work Environment
This is a seasonal, flexible field role that combines on-site, community-based work with some remote tasks and virtual collaboration. You will typically work around 32 hours per week, with some days as short as 4 hours and others up to 8 hours, and on rare occasions up to 10 hours in a single day when specific community events require extended coverage. Most work occurs in the early morning or daytime, with occasional early starts (as early as 5 a.m.) or evening hours (up to around 9 p.m.) tied to local events and market needs. Weekend work is part of the schedule. The role is largely independent; you will often be the only representative on-site in the local market, while the broader team is based elsewhere and connects with you primarily through virtual channels. You will participate in regular weekly meetings and touchpoints to review plans, share updates, and receive guidance. Work locations vary and include community partner sites, local businesses, housing communities, job fairs, and other public venues where you will distribute materials, post flyers, and engage with potential candidates. Some days you may focus on field work, while other days you may work remotely to complete reporting, planning, and follow-up tasks. You must live within a reasonable commuting radius of the assigned market, and you will use your own reliable transportation for local travel, including occasional trips of approximately 30-45 minutes to job fairs or other events. Mileage reimbursement is available for approved travel.
