Job Description
We are seeking a Customer Service & Order Support Specialist to join a fast-paced customer operations team. This role is responsible for managing inbound customer communications, processing orders, providing status updates, and ensuring a smooth order fulfillment experience. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume environment, can effectively manage multiple priorities, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service while supporting overall business objectives.
Responsibilities
Handle a high volume of inbound phone calls and emails, responding to customer requests in a professional and timely manner.
Assist customers with order inquiries, shipment updates, product availability, and general account-related questions.
Accurately enter and process customer orders while maintaining data integrity.
Investigate and resolve customer concerns by collaborating with internal departments such as operations, logistics, technical teams, procurement, and sales.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and account support.
Utilize technology and automated tools to support order management processes.
Meet or exceed established service, quality, and productivity goals.
Ensure all customer requests are handled according to department procedures and service standards.
Communicate updates regarding order status, inventory availability, and potential delays.
Assist with inventory allocation and order prioritization to support customer commitments.
Work collaboratively with team members to promote a positive and productive work environment.
Participate in training initiatives and ongoing professional development opportunities.
Effectively organize daily workload to maintain responsiveness and prevent backlogs.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Order processing and data entry experience
Strong customer service and communication skills
Experience handling customer inquiries in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Experience working with purchase orders and order management systems
Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands
Additional Qualifications
2+ years of customer service, administrative, or office support experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or other business software systems preferred
Work Environment
This is a fully onsite position with a well-established organization in the Kansas City area. Multiple shift schedules are available based on business needs. This role offers a great opportunity to gain experience, develop new skills, and grow within a large and reputable company.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
