Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor Job Description
The Warehouse Supervisor leads day-to-day warehouse and fulfillment operations in a hands-on capacity. This role oversees shipping accuracy, inventory management, employee scheduling, training, safety compliance, and continuous process improvements while working directly alongside the warehouse team in an active, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Lead daily warehouse and fulfillment operations to ensure timely and accurate order processing and shipping.
Oversee shipping accuracy by monitoring outbound orders, verifying documentation, and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Manage inventory control activities, including stock counts, adjustments, and organization of high-SKU inventory where applicable.
Create and manage employee schedules to ensure appropriate coverage across all warehouse functions.
Train, coach, and develop warehouse staff on processes, safety procedures, and performance expectations.
Ensure OSHA safety compliance by promoting safe work practices, conducting safety checks, and addressing hazards.
Drive continuous process improvement and warehouse optimization to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Work alongside the warehouse team on the floor, assisting with picking, packing, shipping, and receiving as needed.
Utilize warehouse management or inventory systems to track inventory, orders, and workflow; support implementation of system enhancements.
Support e-commerce and fulfillment operations by aligning staffing, processes, and inventory to meet customer expectations.
Coordinate and oversee forklift use and material handling activities in a safe and efficient manner.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve operational issues and support customer satisfaction.
Monitor performance metrics and provide feedback to team members to maintain high productivity and quality standards.
Support modernization initiatives and process changes to improve warehouse layout, workflow, and technology usage.
Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and compliant with internal policies and safety regulations.
Essential Skills
1-3+ years of warehouse leadership or supervisory experience.
Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Lead.
Strong fulfillment and e-commerce warehouse experience.
Proven team leadership skills, including training, coaching, and scheduling staff.
Inventory control experience and familiarity with warehouse operations.
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to enforce safety compliance.
Experience using warehouse management or inventory systems; NetSuite experience is a plus.
Forklift knowledge and experience; forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physically active tasks such as standing and walking for extended periods.
Ability to work overtime as needed to support operational demands.
Strong attention to detail and focus on shipping accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Effective communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with automotive parts or high-SKU inventory environments.
Experience with NetSuite or similar warehouse management systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement and warehouse optimization initiatives.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing operational needs.
Comfort working in a fast-paced fulfillment operation with tight deadlines.

Work Environment
This role is based on-site in a warehouse environment in Boonton, NJ. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The position is physically active and requires regular standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working directly with warehouse staff on the floor. The facility operates as a fast-paced fulfillment center with a strong emphasis on shipping accuracy and customer satisfaction, using warehouse management or inventory systems and material handling equipment such as forklifts.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
